Experience the Unspoiled Beauty of Western PEI’s Winter Trails
Your adventure begins with the Tignish Sportsman Riders ATV Club. Location: 482 Deblois Road, Tignish
Nestled in the scenic heart of western Prince Edward Island, the Tignish Sportsman Riders club offers an immersive winter experience. With a network of over 60 kilometres of meticulously groomed trails—and expanding—it provides a premier destination for both ATV riders and nature lovers.
A landmark project is currently underway to connect Tignish with Alberton and O’Leary, forging a 22-kilometre link that will create the first tri-club trail system in the history of the PEI ATV Federation. This ambitious initiative highlights a new era of connectivity for outdoor recreation on the Island.
Beyond the Ride: A Modern Trailside Haven The Tignish clubhouse is more than a stop; it’s a destination. Visitors can enjoy modern amenities, including heat pumps, hot running water, clean restrooms, and complimentary Wi-Fi. A cozy kitchen provides refreshments, while ample space for trailer unloading ensures a seamless start to your day. The club is also known for its welcoming community and popular fundraising runs.
A Serene Escape on Foot. For those who prefer a quieter pace, the club has developed three dedicated snowshoeing and walking trails that meander through peaceful woodlands:
- Orange Trail: 1.0 km
- Green Trail: 1.6 km
- Blue Trail: 3.6 km. These trails are kept separate from the ATV system for safety and serenity. Don’t have your own equipment? The club offers complimentary snowshoes for guests to borrow.
A Network of Collaboration
Tignish made history by officially connecting its trail system to the O’Leary Recreational Club, a milestone in community-based trail development. This partnership allows riders to travel directly from the Tignish clubhouse to destinations in O’Leary, opening up new possibilities for exploration.
