The O’Leary Recreational ATV Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe and enjoyable four-season riding for ATV enthusiasts in the O’Leary area and the wider West Prince region of PEI. As an active member of the PEI ATV Federation, the club plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining the trail infrastructure in the western part of the province.

Trail System

The club maintains an extensive network of trails that showcase the scenic beauty of western PEI. A significant feature of their system is its direct connection to the trails managed by the Tignish Sportsman Riders ATV Club. This linkage creates a vast, interconnected trail network, offering riders an extended and varied off-road experience without interruption. The club’s volunteers work diligently to ensure the trails are well-marked, groomed, and maintained throughout the year.

Community and Activities

The O’Leary Recreational ATV Club is a community-focused organization that brings riders and families together. They are known for hosting a variety of events, including:

  • Group Rides: Organized runs that allow members to explore the trails together in a safe and social atmosphere.
  • Fundraisers and Poker Runs: Popular events that raise money for trail maintenance and often support local charities and causes.
  • Trail Maintenance Days: Volunteer-driven events where members help clear, sign, and improve the trail system for everyone’s benefit.

The club fosters a welcoming environment for both seasoned riders and newcomers to the sport.

Membership and Permits

To use the trails maintained by the O’Leary Recreational ATV Club, all riders must have a valid PEI ATV Federation trail pass. When purchasing a pass, you can designate the O’Leary club as your club of choice, which ensures a portion of the fee is directed back to them to fund their local trail work. For the most current information on club meetings, upcoming events, and trail conditions, riders are encouraged to visit the club’s Facebook page.
